Tara is a well-balanced and calm dog. Tara charms with her pleasant behavior every person she meets, both children and adults. Tara gets along well with other dogs and it is adaptable. Ingenuity is also founded. She has a typical character of the breed. Tara does not bark, except when she informs the guests coming to our home.
Barbet 's coat is perfect. It is easy to care and it rarely causes allergic symptoms It can be kept short or long. I cut Tara’s coat for the summer usually quite short. I think the most wonderful thing in Tara's coat is that it never sheds hair. Really, all that comes out of her hair is with scissors or a trimmer. But truth to tell, yes her hairy paws do collect some mud in rainy days .

Dog shows have not been included as our hobbies. However, if one has puppies planned it may be a good idea to take part a dog show and get your dog’s breed appearance reviewed by the judge. We went to a dog show on 11 October 2013 in Kouvola. Tara was rated CQ, CAC, so the result was splendid. Grounds for the rating were as follows: " Balanced moving feminine entity. Excellent head and expression. Good front. Strong bones in limbs. The right quality coat. Balanced angulations. Sufficient smooth coloring . " ( Tanya Ahlman- Stockamari )
